SentryVision SmartTrack
SentryVision SmartTrack is an advanced, reliable and fast travelling CCTV surveillance system. SmartTrack is configured with two fully programmable PTZ cameras mounted on a carriage that glides along a ceiling mounted track. The system travels at speeds up to 13 feet per second and provides 360° unobstructed views to eliminate blind spots.
Sophisticated software instructs the camera carriage to follow a pre-programmed tour. In addition, programmable inputs, such as door contacts and motion sensors, can instruct the carriage to travel to a fixed point automatically. SmartTrack offers full function pan, tilt and zoom features even in programmed tour mode. A flick of the joystick transfers control back to the operator to observe events as required. Cameras are hidden from view inside a tinted or mirrored shatterproof polycarbonate enclosure.

SmartTrack Specifications
Travelling Carriage
- Motion - Travels at various speeds up to 13 feet per second and traverses distances up to 500 feet. The camera carriage can be operator programmed for low, medium and high speeds. On-screen graphics and text names identify the exact location of the camera carriage, its speed, distance travelled and department location, as well as displaying system diagnostics.
- Manual - The system operator has control of the SmartTrack carriage lateral movement and all PTZ functions through a joystick controller. In addition, the operator can manually programme preset positions and tours using the same controller.
- Presets - Allows programming of up to 60 camera presets for operator use. The presets are programmed through the easy to use joystick controller.
- Tours - Stores up to six tours with up to 64 stops per tour. This allows increased operator flexibility to control "hotspots" even during unmanned hours. The duration of each stop is adjustable, ranging from 3 seconds to 3 hours.
- Alarms - Can be pre-programmed to respond to alarm situations such as door contacts, motion and glass break sensors, access control readers and burglary/fire inputs. When responding to an alarm the carriage will robotically remove at high speed to the predetermined locations, providing exact camera angles and zoom ratios.
Cameras
- Resolution - The standard SmartTrack carriage is configured with two high-resolution (450 lines) 1/4" CCD colour cameras with auto focus. The cameras have digital slow shutters requiring minimum illumination 0.1 lux. A single camera carriage is also available.
- Pan - cameras rotate 360° at variable speeds of 135° per second. Stepper motors allow movement in increments as fine as 0.001 degree for complete viewing control.
- Tilt - Both cameras tilt 110° at variable speeds up to 70° per second. Stepper motors allow tracking in increments as fine as 0.002 degrees.
- Zoom - Cameras feature and auto focus zoom lens with 22x optical and 8x digital for a total of 176x zoom capability. This provides extremely detailed viewing in even the largest facilities.
